CLOUD-based data technology firm LogMeIn has taken the mixed-use 20 Martin Place building to full occupancy, further enhancing the precinct’s reputation as one of Sydney’s premier modern business hubs.
LogMeIn has signed a five-year lease over the top two floors of Pembroke Real Estate’s CBD building that is also home to Apple over six levels, co-working space provider Regus, and Tesla as a ground floor tenant.
It will use the 1,620 sqm space across levels 19 and 20 for its new Sydney headquarters.
Major tech operators nearby within the Martin Place precinct include Dropbox at 5 Martin Place, and Facebook, Atlassian and Expedia.
Originally built in the early 1970s, the 20 Martin Place building opened two years ago following its a refurbishment and repositioning in to a modern mixed-use property of 19,200 sqm.
CBRE’s Jenine Cranston said the leasing took place in a very competitive market, so we had to capitalise on 20 Martin Place’s highly distinctive elements.
“The highly crafted nature of the asset, with its sculptural façade, excellent natural light and its world’s best practice sustainability credentials were also major drawcards.
“We have committed several multi-floor tenants to the building, including two global tech firms – one to the lower six floors and now LogMeIn, in the top two floors. Alongside these, the building has proved appealing to a particularly broad range of business sectors,” she said.
The building also counts McGrath Nicol, MFS and vanguard as office tenants Vanguard with ANZ and Omega also occupying ground floor retail space.
Pembroke’s Matthew Knight said, “Martin Place plays a key role in Sydney’s CBD, where the city’s vibrant corporate and creative cultures meet.”
