NEWLY formed Australian hotel group Crystalbrook Collection has announced its executive team, as it looks to add to its $370 million commitment across three Cairns hotel developments.
CEO Mark Davie has appointed Geoff York as group director, hotels; Laura Davie as group director, operations and HR; Kylie Brajak as group director, global sales and distribution; Katie Malone as group director, marketing; and David Kotze as director, hotel systems.
Mark Davie and the new appointees will be looking to build a staff of around 150 people ahead of the opening of the first hotel, 137 The Esplanade, in 2018. The three hotels combined will add more than 900 rooms to regional centre.
137 The Esplanade will offer 311 rooms and suites; restaurants and bars, including rooftop bar, and a lagoon-style pool.
The CBD hotel in central Cairns will comprise 200 rooms and 110 two and three-bedroom suites, and feature a four-storey canopy representing the Wet Tropics; whilst 85 The Esplanade will have a modern design and 280 rooms.
Crystalbrook Collection’s sole investor is Ghasson Aboud, a business partner of Mark Davie.
