ALL four Walker Corporation owned and operated towers at Collins Square have been awarded a 6 star NABERS Indoor Environment rating, Collins Square, located at 717-747 Collins Street in Melbourne’s Docklands, already has a minimum 5 star NABERS Energy rating across the five towers.
The NABERS Indoor Environment rating measures the quality of indoor air, temperature comfort, thermal comfort and the acoustic quality of a building.
“Our company has always strived to put environmental sustainability and a quality indoor environment at the forefront of our construction using world’s best practice and technology,” said Lang Walker, executive chairman at Walker Corporation.
“It’s a tremendous achievement to secure 6 stars from NABERS on our all four Collins Square towers for Indoor Environment, marking us top of the class in thermal comfort, indoor air quality and acoustic performance.”
While the Collins Street development also ranks second in NABERS’ national Sustainable Portfolio Index for its energy rating.

Walker recently acquired a 50% stake in the Goods Shed for $56.1 million and will in partnership with Abacus Property Group design, plan and obtain a development approval for the 710 Collins Street site.
“We commend Walker Corporation’s Collins Square Towers for their significant efforts to make four different towers in this precinct beneficial for their occupants as well as the planet,” concluded Flores.
At the other end of Collins Street, CBUS Property and Charter Hall were awarded 6 star NABERS ratings for Energy, Indoor Environment and Waste on their 171 Collins Street development, becoming the first in Australia achieve all three 6 star NABERS ratings.
