WITH the launch of its fashion and lifestyle precinct, Pivot, TK Maxx and Cotton On Superstore have signed on as the latest mini-majors at ISPT’s Karingal Hub Shopping Centre.
The Karingal Hub Shopping Centre, in Melbourne’s south-east suburb of Frankston, is launching new fashion offerings as non-essential retail reopens across the city.
“We are so pleased with how our local community has embraced our revitalised, convenient offering and supported our fresh food precinct retailers – a very welcome result in the current retail climate,” said Catherin Polley, manager at the centre.
The Karingal Hub Shopping Centre launched the first stage of the $160 million redevelopment in June, with its market-style grocer as well as a new format Woolworths, Coles and Aldi.
“The feedback we have received on Karingal Hub’s new look and format from both our existing and new retailers has been incredibly positive,” added Polley.
In addition to the anchor tenants, the centre will also host national and international retailers such as Sketchers, Sportsgirl, Bonds Outlet, Rivers, Jay Jays, Rockwear and Sussan.
“The fashion precinct builds on this momentum, providing a broader shopping experience that will later be complemented by a new Town Centre with entertainment, restaurant and dining venues,” she said.
With the last stage of the redevelopment, the Town Square bringing community space to the centre, the Karingal Hub Shopping Centre is on track to be fully operational and reach total completion in 2022.
“Significant effort went into consulting with retailers and the community to create a centre that would become a complete and convenient shopping experience for locals,” said
Free parking at Karingal Hub has also been expanded, with 850 new spaces bringing total capacity up to 2760, with 40% now also undercover.
“We have almost completed all construction and couldn’t be more pleased with the positive response from the local community.”
