FUJI Xerox Australia will anchor Garda’s newly developed office building in Melbourne.
The suburban A-grade commercial office building is located at 588A Swan St, Richmond.
Fuji Xerox has signed a seven-year lease. The lease will commence from 1 July 2021, across 2,400 sqm, which is approximately one-third of the net lettable area of the building. The lease will also include 65 of the building 232 parking bays.
The lease won’t have any impact of the group’s WALE of 5.5 years, though it will increase the portfolio occupancy to 84%.
“We are pleased to have secured such a quality tenant,” said Matthew Madsen, executive chairman of Garda.
“2020 has not been without challenges, however leasing inquiry has improved throughout the year, particularly more recently as Melbourne comes out of its Covid 19 lockdown,” Madsen concluded.
