LUXURY goods retailer Franque has secured retail space at 597 Malvern Rd Hawksburn in Melbourne’s inner south-east.
Fitzroys agents Michael Ryan, Peter Weatherby and Jordan Ceppi negotiated the lease on the property, which has been occupied by Brown’s Antiques for almost 40 years.
The lease was negotiated at what is believed to be a record rate for the precinct of approximately $840 per sqm.
The property comprises a floor area of approximately 250sqm. Franque has operated successfully in High St Armadale for many years and has exclusive rights to a number of high end beauty and homewares lines including Santa Maria Novella.
Ryan said it was fitting the landmark site had been handed on to an operator with a successful high end retail focus, in keeping with the well regarded destination retail precinct which Hawksburn has developed into of recent times.
Ceppi said that Hawksburn Village has become one of the top few retail strip locations in Metropolitan Melbourne along with Church Street, Brighton and Chapel St South Yarra.
