AN owner-occupier has snapped up a Moorabbin office and warehouse facility prior to auction for $2.5 million.
The 321 Warrigal Road property was sold by Savills directors Gareth Jackson and Lynton Williams in conjunction with Just Commercial.
Jackson said the former Shannon’s Classic Car auctions property was well suited to the purchaser’s requirements.
“The purchaser jumped on this property because it was so well suited to its requirements that it did not wish to let it go to auction and risk losing it,” Jackson said.
The property comprises a modern, 1,481 sqm building including a two-level office and a clearspan warehouse on a 1,820 sqm site.
Jackson said the purchaser, currently a tenant, had taken advantage of low interest rates to buy in what was a favourable market for owner-occupiers.
