STANFIELD has exercised its option to buy out Australian Public Trustees.
APT is the responsible entity of the Government Property Trust, which owns 12 government leased properties valued at $140 million and earns a rental revenue of $12 million.
Stanfield said it will unveil plans for the trust later this year, although APT had previously engaged Stanfield to explore the potential listing of the trust on the ASX.
It is unclear whether Stanfield will go down the path since it is now the responsible entity.
