MORE than $70 million is expected for 32 hectares of land on Victoria’s Surf Coast, billed as the last remaining opportunity of scale in Torquay.
Between 350 and 400 residential lots can be built on the Ocean View site, set across two titles. Consistent with the name the site – positioned 250 metres from Torquay Town Centre – will offer ocean vistas spanning from Torquay to Jan Juc for most of the lots.
Core Projects’ Trent Malcomson, Chris Jabs and Kane Malcomson are managing the sales process.
Also within a few of the property are an RACV Resort and Golf Club, the famous Bells Beach, and the Four Pines Brewery.
“Properties of this quality across Australia are incredibly rare. Given the scale, ocean views, and ready-to-develop nature of the landholding, this property will be extremely well contested by both local and international development groups,” Malcolmson said.
Enquiries for new land in the Geelong region in September were up by 96% in September, according to Oliver Hume. Developer ID_Land has recently taken its Armstrong Creek development pipeline to over $400 million, buying up adjoining parcels that can yield a combined 500 greenfield lots.
