CB Richard Ellis has expanded its residential projects business into Brisbane.
The launch further extends the company’s reach in residential project marketing following the recent launch of a new office in Western Australia.
Paul Barratt has been appointed as managing director of the Brisbane residential projects team, based in the company’s CBD offices at Waterfront Place.
CBRE Queensland senior managing director Bruce Baker said this is a logical extension of what is already a very successful CBRE business line which has become a market leader in NSW, the Gold Coast and Victoria.
Barratt has been involved in some of the most successful residential projects in South East Queensland. He started his career with business consultancy Marketshare before joining then the privately owned real estate agency PRD, where he assumed a project marketing director role in 2005 to run projects worth circa $1 billion.
In 2007, Barratt set up DTZ project marketing where he managed the sell out successes of Terrace Row, SW1 South Bank and The Barracks at Cannon Hill as well as launching the $170 million Alderley Square project.
He is a current panel member of the BCC Independent Design Advisory Panel, which advises Brisbane City Council on a broad range of planning and design issues.
And the team has hit the ground running with the appointment to launch Circa One – the first residential release in a $270 million urban renewal project at Nundah on Brisbane’s north side. The office, retail and residential project is being undertaken by Property Solutions, the developer behind significant urban renewal projects such as James St in New Farm, SW1 in South Bank and The Barracks at Paddington.
