SELECT Express Convenience Store has secured retail space in the Myer building at 800 Collins St in Melbourne's Docklands.
The deal was negotiated by Savills’ Jock Thomson, Michael Di Carlo and Jeremy Marmur, who said this would be the company’s first store.
Thomson said the tenant required a modern, well located, premises with strong catchment potential.
Shop 6, 800 Collins St comprises a 61 sqm tenancy and has been leased on a five-year term with a three-year option at a rental of circa $700 a sqm per annum net.
“The brand new building along with Myer’s head office staff of up to 1,000 staff, which provides administrative services to its 65 stores around Australia, were key factors in the decision to take this lease,” Thomson said.
The 28,000 sqm building includes around 850 sqm of ground floor retail space and is jointly owned by the Lend Lease managed Australian Prime Property Fund Commercial and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken.
