DTZ has appointed David Lyons as the new director of metro sales for New South Wales to bolster the agency's business in Sydney.
Lyons has more than 40 years of experience in Australia and Asia Pacific and he joins DTZ from JLL, where he was regional director, capital markets, Asia Pacific.
He was also country head for Vietnam at JLL. Prior to that, Lyons led JLL`s hotel brokerage division and the national metropolitan and regional sales division before.
Lyons is a Fellow, Real Estate Institute of Australia (FREI) and a Fellow, Real Estate Agents and Valuers Limited (FREAV), as well as a member of the Real Estate Institute of Australia and the Real Estate Institute of NSW.
“David’s exceptional talent and depth of experience will be a key differentiator as we continue to develop our NSW, Australia and Asia Pacific platform,” DTZ Asia Pacific chief executive Stuart Roberts said.
“He is a seasoned campaigner in the metro sales market as well as a great manager with a keen eye toward developing talent. What’s more, the skills he brings to DTZ further benefit our clients due to their complementary nature with our industry leading Agency Leasing team,” he added.
Lyons joins DTZ following the recent announcement of the firm’s new Asia Pacific and Australia and New Zealand leadership team, which includes chief executive Stuart Roberts, James Patterson, chief executive, Australia and NZ and Sam Cuccurullo who leads property and asset management.
