PROPERTY & development specialist recruitment consultancy Capstone has appointed Maria Sykes to the board, as a non-executive director.
Sykes brings a wealth of experience gained from executive and noard appointments held in Sydney, London and New York.
She will join CBA former head of real estate Peter Barnes, who is chairman on the board.
Sykes has operated extensively in Capstone’s core markets of infrastructure and real estate and has been responsible for the design, development and management of some of the most icons around the world, including the Sydney Opera House precinct, the Empire State Building and One World Trade Centre.
She was also recently the COO of the NRL’s Rugby League World Cup and led the Women’s Rugby League World Cup.
“I am very excited to join Capstone, it has an excellent culture and a well-earned reputation built on integrity, professionalism and inclusion. We have a very similar view of the world and I am looking forward to helping ensure its continued growth and success,” Sykes said.
“This is a wonderful demonstration of the maturity of the Capstone business and I welcome Maria to our board and look forward to working with her,” Barnes said.
Capstone managing director Nicholas Page said this new appointment will help build Capstone the right way well into the future.
“We are excited to work with someone as well credentialed as Maria.” Page concluded.
