NEWLY completed Barrack Place at 151 Clarence Street Sydney has been awarded a 6 Star Green Star – As Built Certified Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.
Completed in October last year, the 23-storey office tower is home to Arup, Mills Oakley, Pfizer and Washington H Soul Pattinson. It was constructed by Built and designed by Architectus and ARUP.
Managed by Oxford Investa Property Partners, Barrack Place already boasts the title of Australia’s first ever WELL Core & Shell Gold Pre-certified Building by the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) and its latest achievement comes with a host of new accolades.
These include being awarded 80 points by the Green Building Council of Australia, well exceeding the 75 pts needed for a 6 Star Rating, and achieving the maximum 10/10 points for innovation, as a result of Investa and Built’s forward-thinking approach and pursuit of sustainability initiatives beyond the Green Star requirements that were implemented by Investa’s development team during construction delivery.
Investa group executive & head of commercial development Mark Tait said, “We’re incredibly thrilled to have achieved a superior 6 Star Green Star As Built Rating on 151 Clarence Street, Barrack Place. It exemplifies how all partners on the project have pioneered leading design and technology innovations well beyond the pre-existing standards of building sustainability and wellbeing.”
