THE Pikos Group has achieved $120 million in sales for its $250 million Skye development above the Kangaroo Point Cliffs in Brisbane.
The successful off-the-plan sales represent 32 of 70 homes at the 8 River Terrace residential development, which comprises three towers across a 2,300sqm site, launched after gaining approval from the Brisbane City Council in January of last year.
“A number of our sales have been to returning expats choosing Brisbane over other major cities because of the lifestyle, comparative affordability and the city’s arrival on the world stage with the Olympics coming in 2032,” said Grant Plummer, director of at GAP Development Sales, who is marketing the project.
The apartments have each been designed to feature uninterrupted views of not only the Brisbane City skyline, but South Bank, the Botanic Gardens and the Brisbane River.
“Evoking an experience reminiscent of luxury international hotels, the apartments range in size from 180 sqm to 400 sqm at an average of approximately 240 sqm,” added Plummer.
Prices begin at $3.5 million and reach up to $12 million for the penthouse offering.
Skye also features a 1000sqm sky deck, with a rooftop infinity pool and rooftop restaurant, while the apartments themselves boast feature luxury fittings and fixtures, high end timber and travertine flooring, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, gourmet kitchens and state of the art V-Zug appliances.
“The Brisbane property market is already benefiting from an economic boost from the Olympics which the Queensland Government says will last 20 years including the 10-year legacy period after the Games,’’ said Pedro Pikos, managing director of Pikos Group.
Pikos noted that the landmark apartments would redefine residential living as Brisbane emerges as a world city following the announcement of the Olympic Games.
“New infrastructure projects, more efficient public transport, not to mention the tens of thousands of new jobs will increase liveability and drive-up demand,” concluded Pikos.
Construction on Skye is set to commence in June 2022.
