SAMMA Property group is set to launch a new townhouse project, expanding its footprint in Ivanhoe with a newly acquired site.
Having been granted a planning permit, the Huntingfield Place project is set to be built on a 7,325sqm site on Forster and Edwin Streets, around 9 kilometres north-east of the Melbourne CBD and will see 44 individually titled townhomes delivered.
“This project will provide housing diversity to suit everyone from first-home buyers to young families to right-sizers. It will provide a highly responsive medium-density development within a sensitive low-scale residential neighbourhood, with well-proportioned dwellings catering to a variety of living arrangements,” said Daniel Abdelmalak, director at Samma Property Group.
Samma Property has appointed DKO Architecture to design the development, with Eckersley Garden Architecture commissioned to create the landscaping, with each townhouse will feature both front yards, backyards and gardens.
“We are looking forward to working with DKO Architecture in delivering a medium density development near the Heidelberg Activity Centre in Ivanhoe whilst also promoting the verdant reputation of the local area through sensitive landscaping designed by renowned studio, Eckersley Garden Architecture,” added Abdelmalak.
DKO Architecture’s designs will draw on the suburban environment, as well as creating a strong connection to the local community’s history and culture.
With the interior design to reflect local foliage hues, drawing on Australian Impressionism to reflect the area’s heritage.
“The site was interesting in terms of the location and varying interfaces. To the south, Forster Street is a nice, tree-lined, residential street, while to the north of the site, the Bell St retail/commercial precinct offers a lot of amenities for future residents, but needed to be treated differently in terms of the housing typologies. We focused on creating architectural homes that addressed these unique frontages and offered a diversity of choice for potential purchasers.” said Sam McCubbin, senior associate of DKO Architecture.
“We also love the diversity of homes that are on offer as well as the connection all homes have to the EGA-designed gardens and broader context.
