LUXURY property developer Tim Gurner has listed his personal “wellness” residence at his on Saint Moritz project for circa $15 million.
Gurner and his wife Aimee initially retained the 500sqm luxury two-storey, four-bedroom, six-garage home when the $550 million project first launched to much success.
Featuring private lift access, 6-metre-high ceilings and view of the St Kilda foreshore, the home is one of 20 Saint Moritz residences.
The wellness-focused Saint Moritz was initially designed by architects Fender Katsalidis, Koichi Takada and interior designer David Hicks.
“When we launched Saint Moritz, we set out to create something that simply did not yet exist in the market, something that had no comparable sales or properties, something that was only emulated in five star resorts in places like New York, Miami or London,” said Tim Gurner, vendor and CEO at Gurner Group.
“We took inspiration from around the globe and then pushed it even further with the on-site amenity and dedication to wellness at Samsara. The result is like having your own private-day spa retreat downstairs.”
When the project launched, sales included five of the development’s eight penthouses trade for $78 million in a 36-hour window in April, following former Domain boss Antony Catalano’s $30 million purchase of a 650 sqm seven-bedroom penthouse with 150 sqm of external space earlier this year.
The residence includes access the building’s private club facilities including “Samsara”, the health and wellness facility with underground pool, cryotherapy chambers, float tanks, private bookable spa and treatment rooms, salt rooms and on-call treatment practitioners and services.
This in addition to the private club’s access to a South Yarra BMW 7-series car and bookable private driver, 5.5m-high Porte Cochere entrance, lobby with a full-time concierge and valet, 12-seat private cinema room, an underground champagne bar and wine room and 16 full-time staff across residence services.
Services at Saint Moritz also include car washing, dog minding and grooming, housekeeping and laundry services, along with private dining and catering, all managed in-house and available on-call.
The interiors of the listed residence were fully customised and designed by Tim and Aimee Gurner, with over $500,000 in Italian stone and marble, a nearly 5-metre kitchen island, a concealed 3.7-metre butler’s kitchen and a staircase which cost $500,000 to install.
“My wife Aimee and I worked closely with our GURNER design team to create a residence that represents the most luxurious elements of modern life, while taking the Saint Moritz experience to another level yet again,” added Gurner.
The second living and entertaining space includes a bespoke billiards table, while the master suite spans the entire top floor, with its custom $120,000 sauna, walk-in robe, separate study, private living retreat and open fireplace.
“ Due to the investment into quality, rarity, luxury and the lived experience in both this residence and Saint Moritz, we are expecting interest from both local and international buyers,” concluded Gurner.
Within the last week Gurner Group appointed property executive Rahul Bharara as its first chief investment officer, while last October In October it secured a $1.75 billion fund for its build-to-sell business, after securing a $400 million institutional capital backing from Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC.
