JLL’s national headquarters in Sydney has been awarded WELL Platinum certification, the highest possible rating for building wellness.
JLL’s HQ across three floors within Sydney Place’s Salesforce Tower at 180 George Street was designed and delivered by the firm’s in-house teams of workplace strategy and interior workspace design, project management business and energy and sustainability services team.
“Our 180 George Street tenancy is the benchmark for what can be achieved in workplace design, implementation, and operation. Our people have responded positively to the environment with high engagement scores and lower employee turnover,” said Andrew Ballantyne, NSW managing director at JLL.
The workplace incorporates the latest technology and a range of wellness features and amenities including ergonomic workstations, sit-to-stand desks, flexible seating arrangements, natural light-filled spaces, green walls, a premium media suite, in addition to a dedicated wellness room.
“This is such a great achievement for all of those people who have put their time into ensuring that not only does JLL top the list of global real estate service providers, we are also at the top of the list in ensuring our working environment provides the best, healthiest and most productive conditions for our people.
“JLL is a service firm, and we believe that our people are a source of a sustainable competitive advantage. Only when you provide the best environment for your people can you realistically expect the highest quality outcomes for our clients.”
Awarded by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the WELL building standard was developed over 10 years and examines the impact of physical and social environments on human health, wellbeing performance to the building’s design and operation.
“The WELL award is something we hold in very high regard and are very proud of. It reflects a sustained effort across the organisation to show each and every staff member, and indeed prospective staff members, that we care deeply about the environment in which they work,” said Dan Kernaghan, CEO at JLL, Australia and New Zealand.
“Ultimately, it is also about delivering premium services to our clients and the WELL award reflects our desire and commitment to continue to do just that.”
