DEVELOPER Potter George has netted more than 22 sales totalling $8.5 million prior to construction starting at its Oaklands residential community in Melbourne’s north west.
Located in Bonnie Brook, 28 kilometres Melbourne from the CBD and within the city of Melton, the Oaklands estate will comprise 450 lots and 0.5 hectares of parkland opposite future wetlands and sports reserves, and within walking distance of proposed primary and secondary schools.
“The response to stage one has been very strong, with most of the buyers being locals who are upgrading their homes, which is a great sign of confidence in the product and the destination,” project manager Scott Payten said.
Stage one is due to start construction in May with completion expected in approximately 12 months. It will include the upgrade of Plumpton Road and the delivery of Beattys Road and Linear Park.
Oaklands is within driving distance to Watergardens Shopping Centre and Central Shopping Centre both at Caroline Springs, schools and colleges, medical centres, national parks and public transport options, Payten said.
