A LOCAL consortium of builders has paid $51.5 million for a residential site in the new Canberra suburb of Casey.
ACT Government chief minister Jon Stanhope said the large residential development site comprises approximately 45 hectares with the potential for 700 – 750 dwellings, with at least 15% of the dwelling sites reserved for affordable housing to be sold with house and land packages under $300,000.
Casey is only four kilometres from the Gungahlin Town Centre and about 14 km from Civic, adjacent to the established developments of Nicholls and Ngunnawal.
