AMP Capital Investors has promoted Bryan Hynes to the role of managing director of AMP Capital Shopping Centres after he took over as acting head several months ago.
AMP Capital Investors director of property Andrew Bird said Hynes will be responsible the portfolio of 39 shopping centres across Australia and New Zealand including the Warringah Mall and Macquarie Centre (NSW), Pacific Fair (Queensland), Knox Shopping Centre (Victoria) and Garden City Booragoon and Karrinyup Shopping Centre (Western Australia).
“Appointing an internal candidate to this key leadership position reflects the high calibre of property professionals within AMP Capital and our commitment to career advancement.
“By stepping up in an acting capacity, Bryan has proven that he has the capability and experience to be successful in the role,” Bird added.
Hynes was previously head of asset management for AMPCSC. He joined AMP in 1999 and has held roles as NSW Divisional Asset Manager, Divisional General Manager for NSW, South Australia and New Zealand and Head of Retail Asset Management. He was appointed Acting Manager Director of AMPCSC in November 2008.
