Urban Property Group has received development approval for its La Vera project in Macquarie Park.
Located at 94 Talavera Road, the Cox-designed project would deliver 150 new homes including affordable housing.
The Ryde Local Planning Panel approved an amendment in the existing consent which proposes adding four stories to include 24 affordable and seven market units. Changes also include an additional 23 car parking spaces.
Urban initially filed an application in 2022 and received approval in 2023. Original plans call for a 14-storey apartment comprising of 119 one-, two- and three-bedroom units and two basement levels with 123 parking spaces.
The site is 400m from Macquarie Uni Metro station and 13km north-west of Sydney CBD. It also neighbours Macquarie Shopping Centre and Macquarie University campus.
