DEVELOPER and builder Sekisui House netted $144 million in property sales on Friday from nearly half the homes on offer at a new estate being developed in collaboration with legendary golfer Greg Norman.
Norman – who has put his name to developments in Dubai, the United States and Mexico – hosted the launch event for the opening of the dress circle and residents lounge at the Gledswood Hills estate alongside Sean Osawa, CEO residential communities and home building at Sekisui House. Attendees included Greg Warren, Member of Parliament for Campbeltown and Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier, Nicole Magurren, Director Planning and Environment, Sally Quinell, Member for Camden, and Nathan Hagarty, Member for Leppington.
Shawood, Sekisui house’s home building brand, teamed up with Norman for the $300 million estate two years ago. The community will have 190 freestanding and attached terrace homes with views over the adjoining Greg Norman signature nine-hole short course, which includes a residents-only clubhouse lounge, gymnasium, tennis court, and resort-style pool.
“The results and buyer interest in the homes signal the strong demand for premium lifestyle properties in south west Sydney,” Osawa said.
Norman said, “Norman Estates has become an acclaimed lifestyle brand globally, bringing to life a distinctive style of luxury residences.
“At Norman Estates in Sydney, Shawood have set an unprecedented standard of living in master planned communities, and I am delighted to have partnered with the Sekisui House team on this incredible project.
“The amenities, abundance of green space, outdoor alfresco spaces, and spectacular residents lounge have been a clear point of interest for Australian buyers, and echo the design of Norman Estates enclaves around the world.”
The Dress Circle launch celebrated the opening of the newest display home, one of 17 opulent homes situated around the exclusive Norman Estates residents lounge, now available for purchase.
All homes within Norman Estates include solar power with battery backup, premium appliances, and smart home technology from state-of-the-art partners Fisher & Paykel, Miele, LeGrand, Parisi, LG and Caesarstone.
Shawood has acquired parcels of land at 10 sites across Sydney. Construction of homes at some of these sites will commence in 2024. It has also acquired two new development sites: Wahroonga, comprising of eight detached Shawood homes; and French’s Forest, comprising 12 detached Shawood homes.
Civil works have also begun at sites in Calderwood and Norwest.
“We have created an extremely strong residential offering across the north-west region, and there is more to come on the horizon in response to increasing market demand in wider metropolitan Sydney and surrounds for high-end lifestyle housing developments,” Osawa said.
