ONE of the biggest auction portfolios Colliers International has ever undertaken in Queensland will be held later this week.
Ten commercial and industrial properties will go under the hammer.
Colliers state chief executive Simon Beirne said more than $30 million worth of property was up for auction on August 6.
“We have had significant national success with this process and because the market has changed, this method of sale is more suited to buyers and sellers’ needs.
“There is good buying in the current environment and we believe there will be some compelling sales,” he added.
Beirne highlighted one opportunity, the recently constructed warehouse facility at 677 Ingham Road, Townsville. The 12,630 sqm property is leased to LG Electronics until 2016 and is used as their regional distribution hub.
Also going under the hammer is the Telstra facility situated in Duhig Street, Toowoomba.
Beirne said these properties have prominent tenants which are going to attract a lot of interest.
