FAILED fashion brands David Lawrence and Marcs have earmarked 13 stores for closure.
The decision was taken by the administrators, Geoff Reidy, director of Rodgers Reidy, who has conducted a review after it was placed in administration on February 02.
The David Lawrence stores which will close are located at:
- Fashion Spree, NSW
- Indooroopilly, Qld
- Queens Plaza, Qld
- Carindale, Qld
- Highpoint, Vic
- Eastland, Vic
- Little Collins Street, Vic
- Bridge Road Richmond, Vic
- Perth Enex, WA
The Marc stores are located at:
- Canberra, ACT
- Fashion Spree, NSW
- Pacific Fair, Qld
- Eastland, Vic
“Whilst closing stores is always a difficult decision, we have a responsibility to all staff and all creditors of the business to make it more attractive to any purchaser and reduce short term trading losses,” Reidy said in a statement.
Both brands have a total of 52 stores, 11 outlets and 140 concessions in Myer and David Jones across the country.
