A TWO-level penthouse at Spyre Group’s Glasshouse residential development in Burleigh Heads has sold for $20 million, breaking Queensland’s off-the-plan sales record.
Now the most expensive house in Burleigh Heads, the penthouse at 10 Goodwin Terrace, which is greater than five times the size of an average home and includes a staggered rooftop terrace, swimming pool and spa deck, has sold to an interstate buyer.
“We received a great deal of genuine interest in this property and the market was very accepting of the value proposition it presented. It’s a true reflection of what happens when a perfectly elevated, unrepeatable location is met with the very best of design detail and finish,” said Anthony Malouf, director at Spyre Group.
The Brisbane-based developer’s Glasshouse project comprises three residences, each including floor-to-ceiling windows with never to be built out views of Burleigh Beach and Surfers Paradise.
“Each of these superb residences offer unrivalled style, scale and standard overlooking the Gold Coast’s breathtaking coastal landscape. The location is unique, iconic and without doubt the best place of anywhere in Australia to be delivering a project of this calibre to the market,” said Malouf.
The first two floors of the development are each occupied by an expansive apartment, each with 300sqm of living space, while the penthouse atop features over 970sqm of living area across two spaces.
Additionally the penthouse includes four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a media room, infrared sauna, fire pit, outdoor bar, outdoor dining and lounge areas, a gym, wine cellar and private five car garage.
“The calibre of this sale validates Burleigh Heads as a world-class destination worthy of a world-class penthouse,” said Nicholas Clydsdale, senior director of residential projects at CRBE, who is marketing the project.
Spyre has launched six projects to the Gold Coast since entering the coastal city market in 2018, including the $7.1 million sale of a penthouse at the $57 million Cala Dei Coolangatta last year.
As well as the sell out success of Spyre’s $77 million Natura Residences on the Burleigh Heads Esplanade over out in one weekend in early 2020.
“To have a market so enthused by this level of offering is a great outcome and a call to where the Group is headed,” concluded Malouf.
Construction on Glasshouse is set to commence in the coming months, with completion currently scheduled for late-2023.
