ECOVE and its Hong Kong partner Aoyuan Property Group have sold a double storey penthouse at ONE30 Hyde Park for in excess of $9 million.
At the same time, the second penthouse is under contract at an even higher price.
The first penthouse comprises 322 sqm including 237 sqm of internal space plus 85 sqm balcony. It consists of three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a family room. It was purchased in the name of an Australian-based company through Ecove, which is developing ONE30 Hyde Park jointly with the listed Hong Kong developer Aoyuan Property Group.
Sales manager Louie Bechara said 80 apartments had sold and one of the two-storey sub-penthouse is also on the market, for $8.2 million.
“We have had strong overseas interest generally but the vast majority of sales have been to locals.
“Not surprisingly, most demand has been for the north-facing apartments from level 15 upwards, which is where the water views really kick in,” she added.
Designed by Bates Smart, the 38-level building at 130 Elizabeth St will comprise 140 apartments. Demolition of the existing building is scheduled to start in February.
