LENDLEASE has won the contract to build the Prince of Wales Hospital’s new Acute Services Building, as part of the $720 million Randwick Campus redevelopment.
The project will deliver on the NSW government priorities to support high quality education and strong local communities through establishing a partnership with TAFE NSW and implementing a skills exchange program alongside supporting the implementation of a Skills Legacy Pilot program.
The Acute Services Building is on track to open in 2022.
CEO of building Australia Dale Connor said, “We’re delighted to once again be engaged by the New South Wales government in the delivery of important health infrastructure for the state.
“Construction of the new Acute Services Building will ensure the NSW Government benefits from our proven health and hospitals expertise, which have been developed through successful delivery of the Gosford Hospital Redevelopment, Victoria’s Bendigo Hospital and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Queensland.
“Importantly, we are partnering with NSW government on a strong commitment to create more jobs in local communities for women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, the long-term unemployed and apprentices as part of the project’s delivery,” Connor said.
