The residential property auction markets in Australia have flattened out, according to the latest Home Price Guide.
According to Australian Property Monitors’ Home Price Guide, the markets in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide have leveled edging slightly lower last Saturday. While the Brisbane market remained steady.
Last Saturday in Sydney, 185 properties were auctioned and 91 properties were sold, resulting in a clearance rate of 53.2%.
The total value of properties sold was $56 million.
In Melbourne, 405 properties went under the hammer and 184 were sold resulting in a clearance rate of 59.7%.
The total value of properties sold was $96.2 million.
Last Saturday, Melbourne also sold the most expensive property with the sale of a four bedroom house at 280 Domain Road, South Yarra for $4.175 million by Abercromby’s Real Estate.
The Adelaide market had 34 property auctions and 17 sales compared to 54 listings and 22 sales a week earlier.
The total value of properties sold was $7.4 million.
In Brisbane, auctions were steady with 49 property listings and 19 sales.
The total value of property sold was $6.4 million.
