RMIT has extended its tenure over three levels of the Nonda Katsalidis-designed 171 La Trobe Street building in Melbourne’s CBD.
The university will remain within the 14-level tower until the end of 2019, following a deal negotiated by Pat Burke of MP Burke Commercial that will see it expand its footprint to circa 1,300sqm.
Burke said whole floors within the building were achieving rents in the high $300s per sqm net, plus car parking more than $400 per bay per month excluding GST and levies.
The university’s lease includes three parking spaces.
“RMIT has taken up additional space over several years enjoying the high standard of office accommodation, excellent natural light and expansive views of Melbourne’s CBD,” Burke said.
