DRILLING company Roc-Drill Pty Ltd has leased an office and warehouse facility in Brisbane’s western suburb of Wacol, after looking to accommodate its business growth in a larger premises than its Toowoomba base.
Savills agents Ben Donnelly and Myles Clentsmith negotiated the five-year lease with a five-year option for 9 Formation Street at around $300,000 per annum.
The 6,570 sqm site has a building area of around 2,498 sqm, comprising a clear-span warehouse and two levels of corporate grade offices, as well as 2,000 sqm of heavy duty hardstand concrete and an external 20t gantry crane.
Clentsmith said that the property was recently refurbished and fitted out for servicing of large machinery, such as drill rigs.
“It suited the tenant’s requirements perfectly – initially Roc-Drill were looking to be located closer to the Gold Coast however this building suited their immediate needs.”
Donnelly said the western corridor of Brisbane has always been in hot demand for those looking to service the mining regions of Queensland, with numerous enquiries received from similar businesses.
The property is close to high profile neighbours including Boral, Nissan, Sealy Australia and neighbours Atlas Copco/ Hyperformance Fluid Power.
