SAMMA Property Group has launched the first stage of its $300 million flagship development, Samma Place, in Melbourne’s Ivanhoe.
Linden will be located at 105 Bell Street and will be comprised of luxury apartments priced from $435,000, with one, two and three-bedroom options and almost 1,000sqm of commercial space.
The development will be designed by award-winning architecture, interior and urban planning firm, Peddle Thorp, with landscaping by MALA Studio, who were behind the parkland of MPavillion.
The design will include a private sheltered driveway to the site’s entrance, porte cochère and private lobby.
Linden will include amenities such as a communal terrace, with bbq and dining area, rooftop cinema, as well as a spa and sundeck.
According to Benjamin Cribb, senior development manager at Samma Property Group, the development will target a 4-Star Green Star rating and will be designed to meet Better Apartment Design Standards.
“Our brief ensures Linden has its own identity with each apartment designed as a ‘backyard in the sky’, synthesizing the Australian backyard with contemporary apartments. The concept positions living environments and outside spaces as places of comfort and repose, allowing nature to take centre stage,” said Cribb.
In future stages, Samma Place will include a grocery store, café and offices, while from the get-go Linden will be developed to integrate into the leafy surrounds of the suburb.
“Landscaping is also a direct response to the current experience and feel of Bell Street. We want to bring the Ivanhoe lushness to the buildings, at the human interfaces with the built form — in lobbies, on balconies, in podium areas — and also the street,” added Cribb.
Samma Property Group currently has over 40 projects in its portfolio, with more 650 apartments under construction.
“Our founder’s vision was to design and build using only the finest materials, creating a product that he and his family would be proud to call their own,” said Cribb.
Demolition at the Linden site is currently underway, with construction set to commence soon and completion anticipated for early 2023.
