SYDNEY-based Sushi Hub is opening its second Melbourne outlet after securing space in Swanston St.
The tenant has signed a 10-year lease for 120 sqm of space at circa $6000 per sqm net at 55 Swanston St.
The deal negotiated was handled by Savills retail executive Michael Di Carlo, Jock Thomson and Jeremy Marmur.
The agents said the Swanston St lease will be Sushi Hub’s Victorian flagship store. The popular Sydney sushi bar previously opened a store at QV on Lonsdale St.
“This is an ideal location on a strip which has become one of the CBD’s most popular fast food destinations with a plethora of national and international food outlets attracted by one of the CBD’s highest foot traffic counts,” Di Carlo said.
He said enquiry for food related retail space was strong and growing as the CBD population, including residents, workers and students continued to rise.
