THE second stage of Platinum at Victoria Park, 3 km from Sydney's CBD, has sold 117 of the 142 apartments in one day.
Link Marketing Services managing director Basil Klevansky said torrential rain on Saturday could not dampen the enthusiasm of buyers for Stage 2 of Platinum.
Sales ranged from $499,000 for a one-bedroom unit to $1.3 million for a three-bedroom apartment in the 15-storey tower.
“Victoria Park has become an extremely popular estate inner-city suburb so we’re not surprised by the demand for Platinum.
“The initial 180 apartments in Stage 1 of Platinum sold off-the-plan within 30 days of public release, and demand for Stage 2 has been even more frenetic because people know this is their final chance to buy a new apartment at Victoria Park,” he added.
Platinum has been designed by the award-winning architect Nick Turner, with interiors by Japanese designer Koichi Takada.
Platinum is replicating the popularity of Payce’s earlier buildings at Victoria Park – Apex and East Village – which under the management of Link Marketing Services sold out within four and two months respectively.
“The only thing Victoria Park lacks is shopping facilities, and that will change early next year when Payce completes a major fresh food and retail centre called the East Village Urban Marketplace.
“It will have up to 50 specialty shops with an emphasis on fresh produce, a Coles supermarket, and a health and fitness club with a 25-metre indoor swimming pool,” Klevansky said.
