DEVELOPER Deicorp has been given the green light for its luxury 168-unit apartment tower in the Sydney CBD, the 55-level Hyde Metropolitan.
Located at 133 Liverpool Street on the corner of Castlereagh Street, apartments in the tower will be priced from almost $1.3 million for one-bedroom apartments on the lower floors to an eye-watering $12.5 million top-range three-bedroom residences.
“Deicorp is delighted to have been given the final go-ahead from the City of Sydney’s Central Sydney Planning Committee to deliver this truly spectacular apartment building,” said Fouad Deiri, founder of Deicorp.
“The Hyde Metropolitan will be one of the Sydney CBD’s landmark residential towers, located on the edge of the historic Hyde Park and emerging Tech Central precincts.”
Hyde Metropolitan has been designed by Candalapas Associates, after the architectural firm won a design competition by the City of Sydney, with the tower to include a six-level podium with retail, commercial and residential communal areas.
While earlier this year, Deicorp appointed Fender Katsalidis to design and deliver its $310 million mixed-use tower in Sydney’s inner west.
The office component will span four levels, with retail comprising the ground floor and the residents’ communal floor including a gym, day spa and pool.
With the building to also feature a courtyard garden and a high-end restaurant and bar on the ground floor.
The tower will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with residences including 2.9 metres ceilings and full-height windows and upper-level residences to include private foyer and lift access.
With final development approval now in place from the City of Sydney, construction on the tower is set to begin this month, with completion anticipated for the end of 2028.
