REAL estate investment and advisory group Trident Corporation has appointed John Walklate to head its investment management business.
Walklate has resigned from his position as Colliers International’s Queensland state chief executive to take up the role, ending a 15-year association with the international property firm.
As head of investment management, he will be responsible for providing investment management services to a $350 million property portfolio and for developing new mandate opportunities for the group.
Trident Corporation’s chief executive Justin Goddard said Walklate’s recruitment was a significant boost for the firm.
“John has an excellent reputation in the Queensland property industry and is widely known as one of the best agents in the market.
“Year after year he has produced great sales and leasing results, including Brisbane’s largest leasing deal with the pre-commitment of Telstra to 275 George Street,” he concluded.
