TYRE manufacturer Goodyear has become the first company to lease out a facility at Frasers Property Industrial’s Vantage Yatala estate in South East Queensland.
The $300 million estate which is 650,000 square metres in size, began construction early 2021 and after completion, Goodyear has become the first to move in.
Goodyear has inked a seven-year-lease of a 25,250 square metre state-of-the-art facility for its Total Tyres business. The facility space will be divided into 25000 square metres of warehouse space with 250 square metres of office space.
Vantage Yatala’s design is aimed to target a 5-Star Green Star Design and As-Built v1.3 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. It has included solar panels for clean electricity with rainwater capture and reuse systems connected to landscape irrigation and restroom amenities. The estate is located in between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
This facility will support the business growth of one of the largest wholesalers of tyres, wheels, and tubes in Australia with Goodyear having been around since 1898.
General Manager for Frasers Property Industrial, Troy Whalan is pleased to link up with one of their oldest customers in Goodyear once more.
“Goodyear has been a longstanding customer of Frasers Property Industrial for more than 18 years and we are pleased to continue this relationship by delivering a new distribution facility at our Premium Estate, Vantage Yatala,” he said.
“The deal marks a major milestone as the first pre-commitment for the estate and we are continuing to receive significant interest from a number of light manufacturing, warehousing and logistics companies,” Whalan added.
Goodyear was represented by CBRE in negotiations. National director Chris Cash is pleased that Goodyear is the first to take up a residency at the new estate.
