- What Dan Jordan has joined CBRE’s office leasing and sales team in Vancouver
- Why The switch comes after nearly 20 years with Colliers
- What next He specializes in Vancouver, Richmond and Burnaby
Dan Jordan started this week as a senior vice president on CBRE’s office leasing and sales team in Vancouver, Green Street News can reveal.
Jordan spent the last nearly 20 years with Colliers, where he began his career as a summer student and departed as a senior vice president of office leasing and sales.
He specializes in Vancouver and its suburbs of Richmond and Burnaby. At CBRE, Jordan reports to Jason Kiselbach, managing director for CBRE in British Columbia.
While the local office market has had a difficult time in recent years, Jordan said that recent increased activity “bodes well” for the future.
“It’s certainly had its challenges since 2020, but it’s starting to normalize,” he said. “We’re seeing a bit of an increase in transaction volume.”
On the leasing front, there’s been decent activity on the larger side, but achieving a higher volume of smaller transactions still has a ways to go.
A student of history at the University of Victoria, Jordan said he became interested in commercial real estate after graduation and started “knocking on doors” hoping to find someone to take a chance on him. He soon ended up at Colliers.
Given his tenure at the brokerage, he said the decision to leave wasn’t taken lightly.
“I’ve worked very closely with a lot of people there for a lot of years,” Jordan said. “The last 20 years have been great, but now I’m looking forward to the next 20.”
