Equiton has purchased a rental apartment property in Edmonton, marking its third purchase in Alberta.
The 277-unit Breeze Residences McConachie, at 17627 63rd Street NW, is a four-storey complex. The one- to three-bedroom units range from 624 to 1,146 sq ft.
Amenities include a rooftop patio, barbecue space, social areas, a gym, yoga rooms and a theatre. Equiton Living will manage the property.
The deal represents Equiton’s ninth acquisition for its apartment fund in 2024, which has invested more than $275m this year. The Burlington, Ont.-based company’s purchases include four rental apartment properties in Toronto for $130m in September and a multifamily complex in Welland, Ont., for $73m in June.
Equiton’s apartment fund comprises 42 properties across Ontario and Alberta with 3,740 units.
