A GROUP of barristers have paid $1.29 million for a strata office suite at 271 William St in the Melbourne CBD.
Kliger Wood real estate agent Grant McKenzie negotiated the private sale of the 400 sqm on Level 10.
The privately owned strata titled floor is already fitted out and is subject to a short term lease, which continues to February next year with no further option.
McKenzie said that the current lease is to a subsidiary of the Cardno engineering group and has a net rental payable of $118,456.
The lease also includes one car parking space entitlement in the building basement.
“The purchaser is a group of Barristers who will relocate on the lease expiry. They were very keen to remain within easy access to the legal precinct and as the building they currently occupy is being offered for sale this office floor was judged as a first class destination for their practices,” he concluded.
