Sutherland Farrelly has won the right to sell Melbourne’s iconic The Mansion on Queens Road.
The historic two storey mansion on Queens Road in Melbourne is to be offered for sale by Mortgagee’s Tender closing on Wednesday 2 August 2006 at 3:00 pm by Sutherland Farrelly.
This significant building, situated at 83 Queens Road, currently comprises six partially completed apartments.
The property is however included within a ‘Business 5’ zone and thus flexibility exists in relation to possible alternative uses, which may include office or medical, subject to appropriate Council and other approvals.
The Mansion is situated on a site which incorporates a multi level apartment development, with the sale of the Mansion including 11 car parking spaces situated within the basement car parking area.
The six partially completed apartments comprise 5 two bedroom apartments and 1 one bedroom apartment, with the two bedroom apartments to have areas of between approximately 71 and 116 sqm and the one bedroom apartment to have an area of approximately 65 sqm.
Selling agent Grant Sutherland said that The Mansion comprises an outstanding opportunity to purchase a significant historic Mansion residence under Mortgagee’s Tender conditions.
“The sought after location, close to vibrant Fitzroy Street and the Foreshore in St Kilda and the opportunity to continue with the development of the apartments or to consider alternative uses should ensure strong interest”.
