SYDNEY's first luxury boutique hotel in almost a decade has opened its doors.
Operated by Eight Hotels Australia has officially opened the Diamant hotel at 14 Kings Cross Road in Potts Point.
Featuring 77 rooms elegantly designed by Edge Interiors, each room and suites will feature king bedding, 42 inch plasma screen televisions, in-house movies, Cable TV, wireless fast speed internet access, fully stocked mini bar, DVD player, iPod docking station, business desk, and premium in-room products.
Other hotel facilities include a Penny’s Lane restaurant and bar, business centre, conference rooms, security parking and 24-hour concierge.
Chief executive Paul Fischmann said the Diamant will showcase the standard in boutique hotels Eight Hotels intends to roll out in Australia and abroad.
The operator has mooted to open a 80 room luxury hotel in Canberra in early 2008 and its Melbourne hotel will soon be opened.
