AIRASIA boss Tony Fernandes’ Tune Hotels has returned to Melbourne, purchasing a 1,741sqm parcel of land stretching between Flinders Lane and Flinders St for $18.5 million.
The acquisition follows the $51.7 million sale of its 225-room Tune Hotel in Carlton in February this year, a significant premium to the book value of $33.04 million as at December 31.
CBRE negotiated the deal for 540 Flinders St sale on behalf of AMP.
