GPT has lodged plans for its Rouse Hill Town Centre transformation, which will include 21 towers around the Rouse Hill Metro station and future Rouse Hill Hospital.
The application includes 2,500 apartments, more than 10,000 sqm of retail space and 8,100 sqm of commercial space across towers ranging from four to 30 storeys, and a central town park will be part of 2,490 sqm community facility site.
There is also a 4,000 sqm community centre could include a new library, community centre, function space and cultural facility.
The 15-year master plan will follow the $170 million expansion of Rouse Hill Town Centre, on which construction begins next year.
Hills Shire Mayor Michelle Byrne told Rouse Hill Times, “Just because we have a Metro opening in a matter of days, doesn’t give applicants an excuse to dump in as much density as possible with little regards for the wants and needs of our community.”
