MUNICH-based real estate investment family office AM Alpha has strengthened its Asia-Pacific presence with the appointment of DLA Piper’s Les Koltai as new head of Australia, and Caroline Dellasega as vice president of investor relations.
Koltai will be based in Sydney and tasked with expanding AM Alpha’s presence in Australia and create new investment opportunities for its clients.
Koltai has been active in the real estate industry for over 30 years. As a lawyer, he has specialised in real estate investment and fund management from an early stage and has successfully completed transactions for international clients worldwide.
Most recently, he was a partner at global law firm DLA Piper in Sydney for over 12 years, where he was responsible for the firm’s real estate practice as head of real estate.
Dellasega has been appointed in a newly-created position as vice president of investor relations based in Singapore, and seek to enhance managing and expanding AM Alpha’s relationships with its investment partners, working closely with Philipp LaRosée, managing director, Masatomo Okamoto, head of Japan, and Koltai.
Dellasega first moved to the region in 2011 and has previous experience with Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA and APAC global capital markets teams in Singapore and London. Most recently, she served for over three years as director of investment strategy at the ANKEN Group, an independent urban regeneration developer and investor based in Shanghai.
“Les and Caroline’s appointments underscore AM ALPHA’s commitment to the APAC region,” said La Rosée.
“We have been active investors in APAC for almost 15 years and have a strong team of experts on the ground across key markets. We are pleased to further enhance our product sourcing opportunities in Australia and develop our investor relations capabilities in APAC to deliver superior service to our partners.”
Acquisitions in Australia in recent years by AM Alpha include its $98 million purchase of the Treasury Wines Estate intermodal facility in South Australia’s Penfield in 2021.
