A SINGAPORE-based expat has sold a Bellevue Hill house for between $26.5 million according and $28.5 million.
The six-bedroom, five-bathroom expansive family home on a 1,406sqm site at 15B Ginahgulla Road in Bellevue Hill, was underwent a complete redesign by architect Michael Robilliard.
Accessed via a private road, the home includes a 12 metre pool, a gym, steam room and temperature-controlled wine cellar, plus parking for seven.
The vendors are Kim and Mike Buchanan, who is chief macro strategist and head of Australia and New Zealand at Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek.
Michael Pallier from Sotheby’s managed the campaign, which started off with expectations of more than $30 million, before setting a $29 million guide.
According to some sources, the home sold via private treaty for $26.5 million, with others saying $28.5 million.
The home last sold for $8,050,00 in 2009, ahead of the redesign, after selling for $7 million in 2006.
The sale follows the $27 million sale of 24 Bulkara Road in Bellevue Hill, which smashed its $24 million guide.
While down the road at 22 Ginahgulla Road in Bellevue Hill also eclipsed its reserve, with the Tzannes Architects-designed home selling for more than $18 million.
Bellevue Hill continues to draw in top end buyers, with the $76 million federation estate, Leura one of the top sales of 2023.
