THE WA government is boosting the state’s industrial land supply, releasing 11 new lots as part of Stage 2B at Meridian Park Industrial Estate in Perth’s north-western suburbs.
The DevelopmentWA release in Perth’s north-west corridor will include lots ranging from 2,817sqm to 7,233sqm, suitable for warehousing, logistics, mining services, engineering and general construction.
“This release at Meridian Park represents an important opportunity to attract new businesses, diversify the WA economy and support local enterprises in Perth’s northern suburbs,” said John Carey, lands minister.
“Just last week we unveiled the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct in Meridian Park – Australia’s largest test and development site supporting the advancement of automation, robotics, remote operations and zero emissions technologies globally.”
Stage 2B is expected to support commercial activity in the region, creating over 160 new local ongoing full-time jobs and generating an estimated $61 million in annual economic output upon completion.
“This is an exciting milestone for Perth’s northern corridor, providing much-needed industrial land that will drive growth and investment,” added Carey.
“By ensuring a steady pipeline of available land, we are creating opportunities for businesses to expand and innovate, while creating new local jobs.”
This after Western Australian government’s transport authority paid nearly $30 million to acquire a 4.29-hectare site opposite the Royal Fremantle Golf Course in the state’s largest sale for an industrial landholding in 2024.
Subject to demand, a further seven lots will be released. With submissions for the current Stage 2B release due by 10 December.
