SOUTH-east Queensland’s newest large format retail and convenience centre is set to include adventure and sporting retailer Anaconda and American burger chain Carls Jr as part of its offering.
Synergy Property Partners secured the signatures of the companies as it is finishing up construction of $20 million Ipswich development at 355 Brisbane Street ahead of its official opening next month.
Anaconda’s 1,800 sqm showroom will be its 14th store in Queensland. It has agreed to 10-year deal following negotiations handled by CBRE’s Andrew Brimson, while Carls Jr, 7-Eleven and Bridgestone Tyres had signed similarly long-term deals.
One final showroom of 600 sqm remains available.
Brimson said the long-term commitments were underpinned by Ipswich’s population growth, twice the rate of the Queensland average, and major infrastructure projects in the region that include significant motorway upgrades and the planned $150 million rejuvenation of Ipswich Central.
