HUMAN rights organisation, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), has leased an office building at Footscray in Melbourne’s inner west.
Ray White Commercial’s Dean Kimitsis negotiated the lease at 214-218 Nicholson St.
Kimitsis said the ASRC was relocating to larger premises from its current headquarters in West Melbourne.
“The two-storey property includes approximately 3,000 sqm of commercial space on the upper level which will now be the headquarters of the ASRC.
“The building, which is owned by a private investor, offers parking on-site for more than 50 cars,” he added.
“This is a prominent retail and commercial building within walking distance of Victoria University and directly opposite a new Victorian government development,” he said.
The organization has taken out a 10 + 5 + 5 year lease at a net rental of approximately $270,000 per annum.
The ASRC is a multi-award winning, independent and non-federal government funded human rights organization, working at the coalface to assist some of the most disadvantaged people in the community.
