PASTORALIST Tim Edmunds has bought back into central Australia with the $20 million purchase of Napperby Station in the Northern Territory, having earlier this year offloaded two South Australian properties for more than $50 million.
The private deal saw Napperby Station, 175km north-west of Alice Springs and encompassing 5,424 sq km, sell with around 8,000 head of cattle.
In April it emerged Tim and Emily Edmunds had sold their Hale Pastoral Company assets, Ambalindum and Numery, both east of Alice Springs, to Canadian pension fund Hewitt Cattle Australia for $50 million to focus on their five newly-acquired mixed farming properties in South Australia’s Clare Valley.
Meanwhile, the nearby Coniston Station of 2,170 sq km was traded between local grazing families, acquired by neighbouring Anningie station.
